this is a two year old photo of me because I really don’t have any recent photos of me.

I don’t think I look like this anymore? maybe I’ll take a fun photo of me soon and update this.

hi! I’m Emma.

If you’re here, you might know me already, but just in case you don’t, allow me to introduce myself.

I’m a twenty year-old writer from Florida. My pronouns are she/her. I’m currently finishing my English degree at the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg. I feel most me when I’m drinking something delicious (possibly coke, iced coffee, or matcha lemonade) and reading a cheesy romcom novel.

I’ve been writing as a hobby since I was in fourth grade when I started a story based on a dream that I had that ultimately turned into a really bizarre Twilight fanfiction. Maybe that was more than you needed to know, but now that we’re friends, I promise to never allow any of that to surface in this space. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten better at writing since then!

I’ve always dreamed of sharing my writing with anyone willing to read it, but I’ve also always been incredibly afraid to do so. I’m here now, so we’ll just have to see how this goes!

*small disclaimer*

Before you get into my writing, I should probably warn you that I’m very passionate about human rights and promoting equity for all people. If you are racist, homophobic, misogynistic, etc. feel free to leave now. I am always open to discuss anything I write about, but I reserve the right to refuse to engage in discourse that I do not see as productive or that discredits my experiences. I am a mixed race, Asian American daughter of an immigrant, and this identity informs my perspective on the world.

This is a space for my writing, but I also aim to create a safe space for people with diverse identities. Please be mindful and respectful while you’re here, and feel free to let me know if I inevitably miss the mark or get something wrong.
